a COLLECTION OF VINTAGE DOOR KNOBS TURNED INTO A UNIQUE SHELF

We selected 4 different door knobs and plates and decided to make a family shelf by taking a "family" of items that were similar, but unique in their own way. We thought that this would be a perfect place to display our 4 children's school photos. Each of them are similar, but unique as well!

We mounted these 4 door knobs on a stained oak board with a small shelf above supported by two vintage cast iron decorative brackets. On top of this shelf we displayed two canvas photos of a recent vacation overseas.... This a great example of how a collection of items can come together to make a one of a kind piece.
