We have a Sweater Clip Guard Silver tone metal Vintage item.  It is a silver tone metal measuring about 7 5/8" in L with the end decorative portion on both sides being about 1 3/4" in L.  It is in good condition.  It has a patent date dating it to around the 1950's or so.
