We have a Sweater clip guard faux pearls Vintage item.  It measures about 7 1/2" in L with the end clips measuring about 1" in L on both sides.  It is in nice condition with some light wear showing.  I'm not certain if this is the original chain or not, it may or may not have been replaced please use your best judgement.  There is a patent date which dates this to the late 1950's.
