We have a silver tone metal sweater clip / guard.   It measures about 8 1/8" in w - the end pieces over the clips measure about 1 1/2" x 3/16".  The center metal chain has 1 place where the finish on it is gone/damaged (shown in my last photo.  The back of the clips have some silver tone finish missing as well, not showing through to the front.  At first I thought the clips were damaged as they have a concave center - both match and they work fine so I think this is the way they were manufactured.
