We have a metal trivet, vintage kitchen item.  It is fairly light ?aluminum? .  It was black at some point but much of the black paint is worn off showing through to a silver tone metal.  It measures about 8 5/8" in L x about 5 5/8" in w x about 7/8" in H.  Use it as is or put a new coat of paint on it.  I would say it is in fair condition.
