We have a Brass Letters Slot vintage Salvage.  It measures about 8 7/8" in w x about 2 1/2" in l x about 3/8" in d.  There are some light surface scratches/light tarnish.  Overall it is in good condition.  The letters door is not (has never been on) a spring, it closes from the weight of the door.
